We have five Goldfinches regularly visiting us at LDNP towers at the moment, I think they’re all related. Two years ago there was just a single pair but they had a brood and then this year yet another bunch of youngsters showed up.
Update: Sadly we now only have four. The local Sparrow-hawk caught one this morning…….luckily for you all it was very foggy and I didn’t have my camera in my hand at the moment it happened.
Superb photo of a lovely bird! I just wish that I saw more of them as I rarely see any.

Yes, SSS….though I'm sure they mainly come so I can take their photos we do feed them too! 😉
They are beautiful, but the sparrow hawk us to eat too 🙂
