
…not one of the finest photos I’ve shown you quality-wise over the years but still worth a look I think.
For the last few weeks Jupiter has been at its closest to the earth for about fifty years and the brightest thing in the evening southern sky by a long way. Binoculars or a telescope allow some of its moons also to be seen (as above) even in hazy light polluted London skies. As for the view for those of you with cleaner skies, well I envy you!

You wouldn't want to turn your face to the sky around here at the moment. not unless you fancy a face-full of icy water. Blahhh, no warmer than 2C all day.
