Unlike the last photo, this is definitely not what I had in mind as I pressed the shutter button….yet somehow I think I rather like the almost abstract arrangement of shapes and colour of this Orange Tipped Butterfly dipping deep into a flower to reach the nectar.

Yes, I like it too. But I couldn't have said what exactly it was until I read your comments. I'm looking forward to lots more images of spring from you. Nothing could beat the baby herons though.
I bought a skirt in the same colours this week, I think I have spring fever.
