Season’s Greetings to all

Season's Greetings to all
There can be only one photo to wish you all a very Merry Xmas, so here it is.

The tree is looking a bit strange as you can just about make out a fair amount of leafage remaining on the tree (although not as much as on some of its sisters who who seem to still have nearly all their orangery). I’m not sure what has caused this absence of abscission but it seems to be pretty widespread around here.

Have a good time all, thanks for keeping on coming by despite the ongoing paucity of postings.

  1. Have a wonderful day!

Although I think you usually have your Big Scoff on 24th evening?

Our oak still has some leaves – mostly those huge 11" ones!

  2. Thanks all.

Almost spot on with the meal timing Witchy….we indeed usually have more people on Little Xmas Eve (the 23rd and a Danish thing due to Mrs.LDNP's side of the family). This, however, has slipped earlier each year to accommodate those travelling elsewhere. This year it was on the 11th December for 16 of us. Just 13 for Xmas dinner!

  3. I have come here via Uphilldowndale's blog, where your wren got a mention today. I have just had wonderful half hour looking at some of your pictures since that wren. I am now up to July 5, 2009. I am absolutely in love with all that you do here! The photos are all breathtaking, every one is a favourite, and you can write too. Please come back out of hibernation soon so I can follow you on a daily basis. I'm sure you can do something with the grey skies and dead stuff that seems all there is out there. I bet I'm just not looking hard enough.
