Lovely! I'll be able to see it in real life in a few weeks. Is the hospital behind or in front of it?
Err, well the exact location of the LDNP Oak is a secret SSS, otherwise hordes would trampling around it every day. 😉
But since it's you, the hospital it sort of to the left of the picture but also behind. The tree is sort of on the opposite corner of the big Hollow Pond to the one nearest the hospital. It look's forward its first tourist. It'll be good to be able to say people come (back) from the other side of the world to see it!
A google map….

Hope that works
Looks like the bird's nest has been 'renovated' !!
Lovely soft blue sky, good mix of goldy greeny rusty backdrop. Five stars!
A handsome beast of a tree! (the grass looks very dry)
Wonderful as always! Sadly my plot oak, which is all of a foot high, got it's leaves frosted last week.
Got it. That's sort of where I thought it was. Of course now the pressure is on for me to take my own picture!!!
Like that sky, too, it must have be a beautiful day.

Second. But it may not remember me, and I forgot to mention your name.
Thanks all.
Sorry Ham! (But can you really count yourself as a tourist when you omnly live one postcode away?)
